Since 2015, Up North Naturals has grown from a small, kitchen-born passion project into a celebrated Canadian hair care brand — all because we believe no curl problem is too tough to fix.

It began with Lisa Keizer, founder of Up North Naturals, and her personal journey to embrace her natural curls. After years of chemical straightening left her hair damaged and thinning, Lisa set out to find gentler, more effective solutions. What started as research and experimentation with plant-based ingredients in her own kitchen soon became a collection of products designed to cleanse, hydrate, nourish, and define naturally textured hair.

Driven by a passion for helping others embrace their natural beauty, We built Up North Naturals on a simple belief: healthy hair care should be effective, accessible, and rooted in understanding the unique needs of curls.

Today, our thoughtfully developed formulations work across curly, coily, and kinky textures, addressing everything from dryness and frizz to scalp concerns and style definition.
